Within Western Ghats with 6900 feet elevation Chembra Ghat is a must visit if Kerala is in the bucket list. .
Situated in the Wayanad district of Kerala Chembra is a moderately difficult trek best for amateur trekkers with the foothills covered with the tea estates. . A perfect choice for an easy, weekend trek with family and friends.
The Trek to Chambra Peak is a visit to five other peaks before you finally reach your required destination. 

 The trek starts from a place named Kalpetta. The place has good connectivity with Bangalore and one can take a bus from Bangalore to reach Kalpetta. Watch tower, as it is named is the starting point of the trek which takes you further in the beautiful forests of the Wayanad.

A good nature connected half an hour in the forest. Giving you feel of the amazing Nilgiri’s. Making you feel overwhelmed with the scenic beauty of the nature. The forest gives birth to impeccable grasslands at its footsteps. Next half an hour journey is in these beautiful grasslands.

Amongst this grasses you’ll find a small puddle. A beautiful place to take the much required rest. This the first of the six peaks. The vision from there is worth a watch. On the half trek lies a heart shaped lake. Very popular amongst the trekkers for its beauty.

Its about a 2 hour trek from this lake. Once you reach its beautiful to see the entire region of Wayanad. covered with the  tea and coffee estates. Prominent landmarks are visible from here. It takes about four hours to reach here. And sitting on the soft grass watching the beauty all those 4 hours are definitely worth spending.
