11 kms away from Bharshini lies
Kheerganga. A must visit place when you visit Kasol. The journey by road comes
to an end with the outskirts of Bharshini and walk towards the nature begins.
The walks to Kheerganga begins with
passing through the Nakthan village which has beautiful apple orchids. Moving forward
towards the Kalga village, deodhar trees mark their dominance in the supreme
nature. The aura there is soothing. Very much connecting with the beauty of the
nature.

Kheerganga is adorned by Rudranag
temple on its way after crossing the village and the Rudranaag falls. The waterfalls
are beautiful and inviting. One which makes you feel lively and contended. The water here is so cool and refreshing and you might just want to stay
here and get settled down maybe. The sound of the falls rushing through stones is like music
to your ear. After all nature is the best musician earth ever gave birth to!
Near the mountain peaks there are
glimpses of pine forest, showing the dominance of nature in the Kheerganga
region. Sometimes the route has shepherds going with flock of goat and sheep. Another
thing that reminds you that you are miles away from the heard of cars in city.
Around halfway to the trek there is
a waterfall. Another place to relax. The waterfall is accomplished by a small
restaurant where trekkers can munch on some snacks before they finally head
towards the Kheerganga.

The trek becomes a little difficult
as soon as you cross the waterfall the uphill starts making it a tiresome walk.
Finally your walk will come to an
end with trampoline covered huts all around
That’s it!
You reached Kheerganga!
The reward of this 3-4 hour walk
covering a distance of 11 kms is a relaxing bath in the hot water
springs of Kheerganga. sitting on the soft grass watching the surroundings you makes it one of a best experience.

Mythological, Lord Shiva’s son Kartik had
visited Kheerganga and meditated here for thousands of years. A bath in the springs is hence
considered to be divine, sacred and meditative.
The name Kheerganga means milky white sacred water and the water of the springs there is worshiped to be sacred and the colour does match with that of milk. Making trekkers believe that it is actually the milky white scared water as the name goes.
Coming to Kheerganga is understanding your own
self. Realizing that earth isn’t the place everybody just complains about.

so just go there once see what all nature has to offer and visit the unseen beautiful India.
